Enculturing Research

The concept of research is all around us, whether we realise it or not. It can be casual research, such as looking for a certain recipe; non-formal research, such as enhancing a competency; or a more formal approach, such as undertaking postgraduate study.

I have written a short account of the diversity of the notion of research with the hope that it might enculture research. Names of Amar Bose, Dian Fossey, Steve McCurry and Allan & Barbera Pease will elucidate the spectrum of research from Wi-Fi speakers to living with mountain gorillas. Enjoy.
